Designing interfaces for children with motor impairments: An ethnographic approach

Abstract

This paper presents an ethnographic approach to designing computer interfaces for children with motor impairments. By observing children, educators, therapists, and the institutional settings in which technologies are used, it identifies situated requirements that conventional interface evaluation may overlook and translates them into design decisions for accessible interactive systems.
