An interdisciplinary education space for tackling accessibility problems of the One Laptop Per Child program
Abstract
This paper describes an interdisciplinary educational space created to address accessibility problems in Uruguay’s One Laptop per Child programme. Students and researchers from computing, design, education, and related fields work with users and institutions to identify barriers, construct prototypes, and evaluate situated solutions, treating accessibility as both a technical and social problem.
