Celebra

Abstract

This paper presents Celebra, a massive, interactive, site-specific installation and performance instrument comprising a suspended network of two hundred internally illuminated one-metre balloons. It frames the work through three axes: media appropriation, the explicitness of interaction, and the geographical and sociopolitical contexts of the piece.
