Wind: Mediated Reality Visualization

Abstract

This paper presents an augmented-reality visualisation of wind as an otherwise invisible component of urban experience. By superimposing real-time environmental data onto the observer’s view, the work investigates how mediated reality can transform abstract measurements into situated perception and how data visualisation can become an aesthetic and experiential layer of the city.
