Political New Media Artworks
Abstract
Using a theoretical framework for the political interpretation of new media art and interaction, this paper describes political new media artworks created and exhibited by the author. It argues that all sufficiently relevant cultural phenomena admit political interpretation and carry a political stance, and that new media art’s relationship with technology intersects an extensive phenomenological corpus that makes awareness of these political positions necessary.
