Meso

Meso, from the Greek mesos, means Middle; intermediate.

In between the macro and micro spaces, there's an area of intimate aesthetics. A meso area of unexplored beauty, simultaneously familiar and alien, accessible and remote, personal and foreign.

Using a cheap digital microscope bought in a weekend trip to Shenzhen, we filmed things present in my studio and on my body. Hair, electronics, a sponge. Under this closeness new patterns emerge, while still being on the everyday realm.

The video is an exploration of this intimacy, a choreography of the mundane.
