This Shader Does Not Exist

A generative artwork presenting one shader at a time, with relinquishment and free circulation instead of a catalogue or ownership.

Browser-based generative artwork, WebGL2

This Shader Does Not Exist stages an encounter with computational abundance through a deliberately limited interface. One generated shader appears; the visitor may stay with it, relinquish it for another unknown possibility, or take its executable code to continue elsewhere.

There is no prompt, catalogue, recommendation system, ownership registry or route back to a relinquished work. The system varies the sequence through bounded local anti-repetition memory without modelling the visitor's preferences.

The current alpha implementation generates and renders shaders locally using procedural systems and WebGL2. It does not run a language model or remote inference service. The project remains in development; this entry does not imply an exhibition or final public release.
