Generative moving image; site-specific display

Midpoint frame from the Shanghai version of Controlled Permeability

Controlled Permeability is a moving-image artwork developed through generative processes. In 2026 it was adapted for architectural display systems in Hangzhou and Shanghai, requiring the work to be re-authored across unusually wide, segmented and corner-based screen geometries.

These site-specific versions preserve the identity of the artwork while changing its spatial organisation. The work therefore treats format not as a neutral container but as one of the conditions through which the image is perceived.
