Memoriae Urbis

An ongoing moving-image and research project developed through generative image systems, treating urban memory as something constructed, revised and situated rather than simply recovered.

Moving image; generative image systems

Contact sheet from Memoriae Urbis, showing a generated urban sequence

Memoriae Urbis is an ongoing artwork and research project developed through moving image and generative image systems. Its 2026 work treats the city as a field in which memory is assembled through fragments, repetitions, absences and transformations rather than retrieved as a stable image of the past.

The project has produced multiple urban manifestations while retaining a single project identity. These versions are not separate editions: they are ways of testing how the same work changes when its visual memory is situated in different urban contexts.
